Life Cycle Of A Great White Shark

SHARK EGG

After mating with a male Great White, a female Great White Shark becomes pregnant and keeps those eggs in her abdomen for about 11 months until the eggs hatch and babies coming out of their shells. In this time, the mother does not eat a lot like before. After birth, babies remain in the mother’s abdomen for a while. When the mother starts feeling pain, she gives birth to those children.

SHARK PUPS

After giving birth to her children, the mother Great White Shark becomes very angry, due to the pain and hunger. So basically a newborn shark pup is not  safe with it’s mother always. Sometimes we see that a shark pup is swimming with it’s mother staying near mother’s pectoral fin. But sometimes the newborn pups just run away right after it has been released from their mother’s abdomen. After a shark pup  is separated from it’s mother, it has to live it’s own lonely life with the fear of being haunted. As it is small, it has many enemy. It nearly takes 10 to 11 years to be fully matured.

MATURED SHARK

After becoming fully grown up, a mature Great White Shark is free to roar. It can live up to 75 years and die a natural death. It mates with an opposite gender shark and thus  the cycle of shark’s life goes on and on!!
