maxresdefault_live

After the 1st match winning from Bangladeshi Tigers, yesterday’s match was meant to be a high exciting match. As the 3 match ODI series was led by Bangladesh as 1-0, another win could bring them their 4th series win away from their home. oppositely, loosing this match means loosing this series too for Sri Lanka. But it seems that the rain has something else to say.

Bangladesh put in a brilliant shift with the ball to bowl out Sri Lanka for 234 and seal a 90-run win in the first ODI in Dambulla and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Earlier, the visitors rode on a brilliant century from opener Tamim Iqbal and half-centuries by Sabbir Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan to post an emphatic total of 324/5. Mustafizur Rahman picked three wickets for Bangladesh, while Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehedi Hasan grabbed two wickets each.

Yesterday in the 2nd match, Sri Lanka batted first and made an emphatic total against the visitors. In the meantime, Kushal Mendis made his maiden century and scored 102. But disappointment spread over when rain started playing a villain role. Due to heavy rain, the match was abandoned.

Now it’s time for the 3rd ODI that will take place in 1 April in Colombo stadium. This match will be the decider match. If the Bangladeshis can win this match, the 3 match series will be theirs. But if they loose, the series will be a draw between the two teams. Now it’s time to wait and watch what happens. Till then, over and out!
